The urban ministry that grew into Contact Church of Christ was started in March of 1999 when Park Plaza Church of Christ hired Frank Lott to head up their efforts in the inner city of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the fall of 2001 a building and 5 acres of surrounding land became available in an ideal location in West Tulsa, so Frank and the elders at Park Plaza purchased the property and started the Contact Church of Christ. The first services were held on Easter of 2002.
